avida perfectly fit in with a kind of underground music that was getting all the rage in italy in those days: nonsense music (musica demenziale). the structures were intentionally primitive, often made on cheap electronics. maurizio damis vocals , inspired on early 60s italian singers (to carry on and close the typical 20 years cycle of revivals), such as edoardo vianello, had an appealing mix of trash and humour. avida was essen tially a live band. their performances were a mix of theatre and music, where visuals played a major role. anyway, today some of that music still sounds interesting and not only due to its lyric. in our opinion about the best music alexander robotnik ever made
the original allez allez track dates from 1982 (!). the belgian funky new wave band was very successful during those early eighties days, but this was without a doubt their biggest tune. our norwegian homies lindstroem & prins thomas took care of the remix on the flipside. northern quality as usual!
the jinks productions always feature live instrumentation and this third single is no different featuring tom ashe on synths rhodes and piano remo penstripe on bass and eddy freeman on tambourine supplied with the injection of stormin norman andersons vocals jamie lewis makes it into a sure fire winner
second in the series of limited disco re edits from a certain mellow house producer you cant go wrong with the originals of either of these tracks especially with the cowbell prodded synth riff of the classic dyson track originally from 1982 on the flip the rare disco congo from a 1977 westbound lp with a memorable bassline reminiscent of the o jays for the love of money before the track heads off to trinidad for a steel band breakdown

aka oliver koletzki !!! parker frisby ist acowboy from berlin. he is a party animal, that likes to perform with his live band. he loves disco and glamour of the eighties. he has always a slapbass and the cowbells in his pockets. mr frisby brings us with the track <und was jetzt?< some modern house and discoshit on the decks.. the warm organic sound of the real instruments such as funkbass and acousticguitar are typical for parker. the tracks on the b side are a tribute to the oldschool discotheque. this is why the guys from munk signed a track of parker on their label gomma
